Abstract

SINDACE (Sustainable Investments Digital Assessment and Compliance Enhancement) is a project proposal that aims to open up the private finance value chain towards the opportunities brought forward by embracing digital, evolving, ML-driven platforms tailored for the needs of institutional investors operating in the private credit market and targeting accelerated implementation of EU sustainable finance principles in sustainable energy investments, including those yet to be covered by the EU taxonomy, leveraging the power of data engineering to integrate the specificities of energy efficiency and the capabilities to analyze them in real-time, thus projecting realities where allocation burdens are removed from institutional investors. Brining advanced ML-infused platforms closer to such players in the private capital market would increase exposure towards opportunities of automated risk and sustainability assessments through granular portfolio and project analysis, enhanced and automated sustainability reporting and various other data-based decision aiding enhancements that would ultimately lead towards a confident uptake of green products in private capital markets. The project execution would be mainly based on the experience of consortium members in such domain, with Cardo s.r.l. having previously deployed comparable solutions for EU and UK customers. This experience would be the basis for executing and further elaborating practical demonstrations of such technology capabilities, as well as dissemination through thematic events and white papers. Furthermore, the consortium aims to ensure a wider sphere of influence by leveraging on the experience of the other partners in planning and executing activities targeting support of policymakers, exchange of best practices amongst stakeholders in the domain and development, evolution and rollout of modern training programs across the private finance value chain, thus completely aiming to fulfil Scope B of the call.
